Flickr sizing issue

Does anybody know, how do I upload images bigger than 1024 pixels to Flickr? No matter what I set the Flickr uploader (Mac) to, the site keeps resizing them! (Didn't help upgrading the app.) And the same with uploading via the site, also gets downsized to max 1024 px.

Aha, Luke informs:
You need a Pro account to upload photos larger than 1024, info.

Thanks. You'd think they would make that more clear. They'd avoid confusion as well as sell more accounts.

maybe some support-bandanges on ankle and knee, like sports people do?

Maybe a $5k camera could snap a falling leave, but it's doubtful, since the course is so erratic.
I think the only way to do it is prefocus with a neutral background, throw up a small handful of leaves, and keep shooting until one is in focus.

Eo...you won't believe what I just discovered. SO EXCITING for me:

So...I noticed that the library's digital lending library now had e-books for Kindle so...went to get one of those and...guess what the CRAZY thing does: it hooks up to AMAZON...AND...you can make notes and highlights and stuff (I know you're not into that but...the capability is there! :-) on the borrowed book AND...if you decide to BUY it, later, it has kept all your notes on it! Isn't that COOL?! And...just the fact that it hooks up to Amazon, well, shoot, as the library digital content expands, what will the need to buy a book, ever again, be?! lol! THIS IS SO COOL and HELPFUL!!

Just thought I'd share this interesting tidbit w/you! Do you know how much people could save, if they just used their local digital library access?! CRAZY COOL! :-D

Yes, very cool.

I wonder where libraries will end up. Obviously they can't lend out unlimited copies of all the books on the market.

Funny...I'm starting to feel just the opposite of what you do, re: libraries: perhaps, if people become more aware of the availability of digital loans, perhaps not only the publishing community would squabble but also the authors...when no one wants to BUY their stuff! But...I think that, wherever possible - at least for the kids - communities are probably going to try their best to have actual books on shelves for them. I could, of course, very likely be wwwrong. But, also, I think that the digital loans will further enhance the library experience. It's SO COOL to not have to leave the house to get a book; and...even better if you don't have to pay for it, if you don't quite know if you like it, yet! :-D

"Obviously they can't lend out unlimited copies of all the books on the market."

Why not, Eo? Does there have to be a cap on digital? I don't see that there needs to be...especially if they are only going to be borrowed! Say, if all the libraries around the world wanted a certain number of e-books to be available for their [now flourishing] community of members, why not just crank 'em out?! What's the harm? Perhaps, as your theory, the "free" will encourage people to buy more e-books along the way! :-D

I was thinking it's a step too far if it's both legit and free and as easy as buying. I could be wrong.

All right.
