I sometimes wonder why people portray the 1980s as a 'decade of bad taste' in pop music. Sure, there were liberate amounts of that. But then there was also this genre of stylish British pop, such as Cocteau Twins.
Compare that to today's British pop and you know what I mean.

The "Treasure" album is absolutely wonderful (and very aptly titled).
I love the Twins' "Treasure" album! I have yet to get any other albums of theirs, though. Curses for budgets!
