"Awaken in the dream"

Awaken in the dream.

the author of this site had a profound awakening in his early 20's, during which time he had problems adjusting to society as it was. His family had him committed to a mental health institution, where his experience of "awakening" continued. He experienced a whole shift in how he was seeing the world. He was laying hands on people in the hospital and healing them, and even this was interpreted as illness. He was confused and in a sense tramuatized by others views of him, but in himself he knew he was not sick. He extricated himself entirely from the mental health industry, and began educating himself on what had happened to him via. spiritual teachings. He is now in his 40's, and has dedicated his life to helping others wake up to the dream-like nature of their ego existence, to understand the non-pathological essence of the chaotic breaking up of the old, and helping others like himself learn how to adjust to living in this world with a whole new way of being.

I just heard a fantastic interview with him where he talks about his early experiences. I'll try to get the link.

He is also a student of A Course In Miracles. (I suspected so and asked him.)

This is either flamboyant madness or insane brilliance. But I'm having a bit of a hard time deciding which. :-)

What reassures me is that it seems impossible to be an evil person today and ever attain such consciousness, if it exists. I've long ago understood that being evil is by essence lacking intelligence; perhaps only in one of the many facets of intelligence, but a fundamental one. Being selfish and destructive is short-sighted, stupid, and eventually dangerous for oneself.

In fact, solidarity is what allowed our relatively vulnerable species to survive and dominate this uncooperative (even hostile) planet. Cavemen were smarter than many "civilized" people of today...

I heard the interview with Paul Levy (Awaken in the Dream) from a great site that has all kinds of interesting interviews. It's called Red Ice Productions, from the west coast of Sweden.

that's cool that he's a student of A Course In Miracles. This mortal dream gets more and more interesting.

Hardly. Evil comes highly regarded in intelligence actually at times dipped in the cesspool of brillance.
Evil comes from the Dark Alliance of the demonic world of The Prince of the power of the Air Satan himself (forging contracts and spiritual agreements between the conscious and illusion.)
He uses his own wisdom to seduce many intelectials and prominent world leaders on a daily basis.
Beware not the man who stands before you but the cloak and dangger he conceals wrapped in "innocent" light.

Sorry to rebut your carefully constructed theories, but the concept known as evil is nothing but a belief. Very real, sure, like all beliefs, but only to those who choose to align with the idea. Mind you, it is not a very interesting idea, nor a useful tool in understanding reality.

sorry to rebut your theory as well because evil exists period.
it has since the dawn of time. it's not an illusion either but reality.
good day.

Perhaps you would like to tell us what you find so appealing in the concept to be so attached to it?

Mystic 666,
Are you trying to tell me that being a selfish and emotionally immature sociopath is being "evil and intelligent"? Man, have you ever studied psychiatry or psychology?...

The devious Devil seducing poor humans into acting evil is a double naiveness. First, because it assumes that humans need to be tricked to act wrong. And second, because these conned evildoers are clearly not so bright if they get duped.

There may, or may not (depending on your religious/philosophical beliefs), exist a Satan. In any case, evil people are seriously lacking in one important component of intelligence. Namely, the aptitude for empathy, which is a major form of social understanding.
Even if we cast aside the moral side, being selfish is dumb, and dangerous. Solidarity and selflessness are the best, wisest and most mature choice on the long term. Just look at dictators, living in constant fear, distrusting even those closest to them (often with good reason!).
As for Satan, considering him as a rebel angel that "fell", he may very well be renowned over the milleniae for his sneakiness and cunning, but that doesn't mean he's all-smart. Living in hate is dumb, whatever your IQ or the size of your demonic kingdom. Fundamentally, it brings nothing but unhappiness. Its pleasures are hollow shells.

I'll give only one very simple proof : when you realize what it truly means, the glowing smile of limitless trust of a baby who loves you is absolute bliss. Better than the drunkenness of any power, of the "fix" of any drug. "This is the genuine stuff, baby!"

I rest my case. If this doesen't convince you, no words can. Only -maybe!- the hard lessons of a life wasted in loneliness.

"I believe it is more accurate to say that what we call evil is merely the unconscious part of ourselves we've yet to illuminate. It is void which has yet to be given form."
Somebody's been reading Albert Einstein again... "Darkness is nothing but the absence of light. Cold is only the absence of any heat. Evil is just the absence of Good."

Essentially the great battle between wrong and right boils down to pride. "Not only am I God's chosen, I am his tool to slay the heathens!"
Oh no you're not! I am! For I am Spartacus!

Lucid, to know what impression your comment made on me, please scroll up this page and read the first paragraph of my first post. :-)
