Art belongs to the artist
Man, do I agree with this article. Then, to my horror, she actually took my drawing board and drew on my drawing to illustrate her point.

Not just art, but all work!
An art teacher messing up some drawing is a petty problem compared to the fact that a substantial percentage of the output of every artist, and indeed every citizen, is confiscated by the state.
Even if the author had managed to guard his drawing from the intrusive substitute teacher, had he then tried to sell it, he would have discovered that he doesn't really own it at all. The state does. But in order to not cause an outright revolt, the state let's the artist keep some of the proceeds of the sale of his work.

Yeah. The amazing thing is that many people find this quite reasonable, even in Denmark where they pay 50-70 percent in taxes.
I realized once that it's simply a very large commune. If you earn more, the group demands that you hand over some.
