Why? Even in the many instances where I *have* made pictures outside, I don't recall a single instance of you making any noises of appreciation at all.
The problem is, when you do go outside you stick pretty close to home. To get good pictures you need to be roaming the city, taking hundreds every day, of all different things. Even a nondescript podunk northern England town would then yield something interesting. And, as I've said before, you're within spitting distance of a dozen other countries with great cities that would give up a lot of great shots...or even London...or closer to home, Manchester. Even Bolton, as I said above, would give you something good. Not only do you stick too close to home base but you also seem to stick to pictures of painted fences, dumpsters, mailboxes. Fine, in and of themselves, but try something else.
Even this rainy day picture, it's no good through a window, you're never going to get anything good that way.
Oh, and btw, based on what you've said in the past you definitely have the leisure time to be roaming the city that way, camera in hand, even if you wouldn't want to do it every day. Out of hundreds taken you're bound to get some good, possibly even great images. Maybe you're afraid you don't have the talent, but you shouldn't let that stop you. Does someone who as a boy dreamed of making the big leagues stop playing because he didn't? Others who dreamed of being great painters will still paint even if they're not destined to be the next _________. Thing is, the stuff you've been doing, if you have talent, isn't putting that talent to use.
I know you're used to everyone on this blog uncritically praising every picture you post, I guess being critical makes someone automatically a troll.
