OK, thanks. I don't know what a "Twitter for Facebook application" is, but the rest looks simple enough.
When on facebook, Search for Twitter, On the Twitter page, at the top there is a "Go to App" button.

... I have made a test-tweet with an app and one with a browser on twitter.com, and neither have appeared on FB. (I've looked on several pages, but I'd guess they should appear on the one called "the wall"?)
Facebook is the wort interface ever created by Man. It is so confusing, you never know where your stuff will appear.
