As you know, I'm getting tonnes and tonnes of requests for more posts about Apple products, particularly the iPad and its accessories, and they are not falling on deaf ears, trust me. :-)
It's not hard to find a variety of iPad covers. Here is a special case. As it were.
(He also makes them for the Kindle.)
Obviously a luxury item at $130. But then, many people consider it nothing to use such an amount in an evening in town, burning braincells with overpriced alcohol. (Of course, most of those same people would think you're insane to use that money on an ebook cover. But hey, they have their addictions, and I have mine.) (I'm not saying I'll get one of these. Probably not, though the designs are cute.)

Yeah. Right ;-)
I'm not saying I'll get one of these.
Come on! You are the iPad case King! You did't get to that position by passing case acquiring opportunities! Did you?
Look it even has that little yin-yang symbol. :-)
Damn, hadn't noticed that! Musthave!
I would like to see a video showing your iPad with all the accessories you have for it. That way those of us who can not afford these things could at least experience a little of the feel what it is like to own an iPad with lots of cases. :-)
Since no one has more cases than you, I predict that video could become very popular too!
Well, my talk is greater than my walk. I didn't get the Dodocase, at least not yet. I have the Apple case, and then that brown leather case I showed once. And then two two rubber skins, one of which works quite nicely for making the grip better. That's about it.
Actually, this may be the first thing that's given me a sense of iPad envy...
... If it's only the case you crave, get one for the Kindle (and a Kindle!) instead. The Kindle is barely more money than the case!
(He does not have a case for the Kindle 3 yet, though.)
Talk about serendipty - I bought an Oberon purse for my wife last christmas and found an Oberon shop at the Bristol Renaissance Faire this past weekend. I was expecting to see an iPad case but did not. The workmanship is exquisite, if you go for this sort of thing. Truely works of art.
Well, my talk is greater than my walk.
But don't you also have all kinds of stands and keyboards for it too, and whatnot? Note I said “accessories”.
Well, I guess I have three different stands for it, and one keyboard bought for it (the ThinkOutside foldable). Ah, yes, I also bought the Apple Wireless Keyboard for it, and the USB adapter. While that's plenty, I don't really think it's all that meaty for a video. I dunno.
Mark,
Are they bigger than I thought, or was this just an amazing coincidence?
I wonder how they work the leather?
Eolake, As far as I know, they are a small company that does very high end leather products usually sold in specialty shops. I first found them in the Morton Arboretum's store where they sell beautiful jewelry and accessories with a nature theme (the Arb is a living tree "museum" 2000 acre park). They happened to also be at the Faire - because there are lots of leather goods sold there - clothing etc - in the theme of the times of knights, swords and bawdy women..
Not sure how they work the leather, but this is very durable, deeply tooled leather - made to last a lifetime or two.
This is quite the coincidence when you also consider that I found your blog via TheOnlinePhotographer - and Mike is based in Wisconsin - near where the Faire is held annually. Amazing eh?
Don't you have bags of money? Get one!
Simpson! I order you to buy those shoes!--Ned Flanders
where can I get one of these for the new ipad?
