Rita Hayworth

I generally prefer modern movies, but I must say, where did this kind of sheer glamour power go?

Here's a photo I found of Rita as a young model:

I selected the text (clicked a letter at a time) with Photoshop CS5's quick selection tool, expanded the selection 2 pixels, and used the content aware fill. Then it was just a minute's repairs with the stamp tool:

Well done! Best post in a long time.

Although I see plenty of more recent ones, I particularly love old movies. A lot of people don't because the acting style was a lot different then. The whole thing was a lot more stylized and theatrical, which is a big part of why I like them. Plus back then, leading men and leading ladies had a class and a style even the best of today's stars lack.

Well, I'm impressed with CS5 and removing that text. Maybe I should upgrade after all..

I think it has something to do with the smile. It's the same as with your young ladies who pose, those smiles can just melt your mind at times.

Tommy,
It does not always work like on the demo videos. Sometimes the results are really bad. But I do consider the upgrade worthwhile, on the whole.

TTL, Thanks. I'm not sure what exactly makes it so, though?

Hey, something else I didn't realize we had in common!

Rita was my all-time favorite, right from my high-school days when she was in vogue (and probably Vogue, too).
