Nook Wi-fi (updated)
Nook Wi-fi: an ebook reader for $150! (And only $50 more to include 3G.) Kewl.
I don't know so much about the Nook, but some healthy pricing competition is clearly needed in this market. Over $400 is just too much for a Kindle.

On the front page of Amazon.com right now, they're pushing the Kindle for $189.
The Nook is the Barnes & Noble version, Borders are pushing the Sony eRerader, and Amazon are using Kindle.
Makes me wonder is the same happening in the UK, you know Waterstones supporting one platform, Blacklers another and W.H. Smith a third. Come to think of it, I saw Waterstones last time I was in the UK, but a few of the other big stores seemed to be missing, who are the bookshops of today? Like in CA, Crown Books and Waldenbooks have pretty much disappeared. Barnes and Noble lost ground to Borders until they added a Starbucks in-store.

Which I don't understand 'cuz I always thought B&N was such a much nicer store/environment. Sad. :-(
I think it would be really nice to hear from someone who has had both the Kindle and the Nook. I'll do some digging around for reviews and such.
If the screen contrast is better, I might be interested.
