Another video'ed review of the new small/big camera, Sony NEX-5. It seems it has indeed beaten the competition in the size area, and takes high-quality pictures. But the interface is a bit clunky.
I did have feeling somebody could do better than the current M4/3 cameras... the sensor actually seems pretty small inside them.
Of course it also hangs on getting some good lenses for the NEX cameras, and so far, they seem a bit average.

Please share any 'insider information' you might have on the Sony NEX lenses. Are they Zeiss glass? Or are their Schneiders? Have they been tested? Are resolution charts already available?
Would be interested in what info you have about that camera and it's lenses.
I know nothing yet.
I don't think anybody has tested them yet.
You can set up a Google reminder like:
Sony NEX lens review
Common words like that will probably give a lot of false positives, though.
Thanks.
And you based your comment 'and so far, they seem a bit average.' based on what technical information then?
Keep in touch with that highly technical evaluation you offer - it's interesting to read.
I based that on the loose comments and lack of enthusiasm of the rather non-technical reviews so far. (For instance I think it was Pogue who said that the compact wide-angle has distortion.)
And also two of the three lenses are like kit lenses, and they are usually pretty good, but never great.
Interesting to keep in touch with - SONY is known for its quality - but higher price.
Will be interesting how it all plays out. Thanks, Eolake!
