"Where the hell is..." Matt's best yet. If this doesn't cheer you up...
(Large version here.) (The downloadable version is only an earlier video.)
Update: his blog is cool. Here's an entry about Denmark, which has no talk at all about Denmark, but lots about the rest of Europe.

There's a lecture given by Matt on the about page of his site. It is three YouTube clips of about 20 min each. Filled with fascinating anecdotes of all kinds of things (travelling, photography, life, etc). Highly recommended.

Yeah, he came out with this video a few weeks ago and I can still enjoy watching it again and again as it does cheer the soul and give you a travel bug to connect with the rest of the world. Now if only I could get a chewing gum company to sponsor my travels I'd certainly be willing to dance for them.
Incidentally, Jawed Karim, one of the founders of Youtube, stated that the Where is Matt video is his favourite video posted to Youtube.
Yes, Matt's idea is really one of those Lightning Strikes ones.
Beautiful, brilliant and funny! The idea is so simple and yet so profound.
The segment from Papua New Guinea is hil.
I need my own personal Stride Gum underwriting. :)
Matt looks like a man who is living his life well, by his own terms. I don't think I personally could do that -- I'm much too achievement-oriented. I want laudations and plaudits. And hot hot women fawning all over me, too.
Many of the segments are great. Like the crabs. And the beautifully dressed dancers from India, where he actually uses their dance steps.
Ah yes, the New Guinea is tops. As is the girls from Tokyo just before it. And the great wave, and the two hot girls jumping in Frisco...
There is a "making of" with the Papua dancers.

You noticed the two hot girls in Frisco, too, hunh? And I'd always heard that a San Francisco 8 is a Las Vegas 4.
His website has a map with pins on all the places he's been. Now I'm really jealous.

Great post! Tears of joy! Incredible video. Dance everybody, dance! Matt is cool, it’s good to see that he’s still out there cruising around. Leave him a comment about his evil dancing. LOL! I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. Great job Matt! Stay safe out there! Keep dancing!

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
outlaw ALL dancing
moving bodies to music
must be seen as evil

only Earthlings may dance
it is simply forbidden

Update: his blog is cool. Here's an entry about Denmark, which has no talk at all about Denmark, but lots about the rest of Europe.
The entry from May 29, 2006 talks a little about Copenhagen.
Thank you very much.
Gave me a chance to correct his impression of Copenhagen a bit.
I wonder why they didn't include the dance on the hanging rock in Norway.
I think it's on the earlier video. I remember having seen it. Quite spectacular!
Matt is a very entertaining writer, it seems. He plays the role of a simple guy who is not particularly good at anything (and therefore has no money) and because of that had to invent a silly dance routine to get something going for him.
But it turns out this is not entirely accurate. He is very clever. I understand he has a book publishing deal now. And he also plans to do one more video. I think we will be hearing a lot of him in the future.
I agree, he plays a role or is genuinely modest probably, but really he is unusually clever.
Ah yes, it's the third-last clip in the second video. Great.
I love the likkle girls that one ends with.
Yes, that video on YouTube has the modest number of 10,845,091 views and 28,510 comments.
And it might not even be the original posting: the link on his site to youtube is broken.
