Alicia Witt

Another actress I find totally irresistible.

She's attractive in the face. But the large thighs (bespeaks a person who simply rests on her laurels, rather than earning her beauty) and the inability to articulate a sentence without swallowing her tongue (someone with little verbal acting skill) both turn me off. Born beautiful yes. Worth my adulation no. I try to be selective. :)

I can see why you're alone.

Big thighs...? Her legs seem fine to me. I don't see any virtue in torturing yourself at the gym, especially when you're already in good health. And that's assuming she doesn't. Most people in Hollywood have to an image to keep up, especially women.

Having looked up a few clips of her on Youtube I've not seen any examples of her swallowing her own tongue, either. My erection could have been distracting me but it seems like you might be setting the standards too high, final.

eRIC.. i AGREE WITH YOU TOO.

As do I. I read final's comments, then had another look at the photograph. I don't see a thing wrong with her. But then my erection could have been distracting me.

I've liked Miss Witt ever since her role in the show Cybill and was pleasantly suprised to realize that she was also in Dune.

Sigh, once I get my own planet and start cloning... ;)

Her right wrist looks weirdly flat on this photo...

You think? :-D

I guess it goes without saying, this makes me go a big rubbery one!

Man, I would wreck that chick!

This image doesn't make me go a big rubbery one.
When I first saw the image (before reading the comments) I thought like Mister 1:52 AM.
The girl cannot be blamed for her body. She's attractive anyway, and pictures do in fact lie, or show reality in an unappropriate way.

When I look at a mirror...........

What's wrong with her pigment?

OK, admittedly I have a thing for redheads, but Alicia makes it hard for me to type because my desk is pushed up.

She was in a very sexy episode of Sopranos. Nearly naked!

What episode was that? I too have a thing for redheads. I didn't really like The Sopranos but I'd take a look at that episode.

This reminds me of an episode of Family Guy when Chris and some convenience store guy stand around and talk (Clerks-style) about the quality of nude scenes in various movies.

It seems it was season two, and her character's name was Amy Safir.
The episode may have been named D-girl.

Didn't suggest "torturing yourself": you'd think the politically-correct crowd would knee-jerk-APPROVE of someone dismissing a woman despite her biologically naturally attractive face, rather than knee-jerk-DISAPPROVE of that same judgment because of a mention of exercise. At least the participant can take credit for the results of exercise; there's practically no human effort which can rightly be credited for having a beautiful face.

I think my initial point was, that a given person would not be my "type" of actress (though, it's likely I'd prefer them ALL if I met them in real life!). Relatively speaking, I'd prefer someone who takes responsibility (and can rightly claim that effort led to success) for her assets (beauty included), such as Holly Hunter, who clearly WORKS for her physique and keeps her face beautiful by means of health and carefully selected styles.

Nevertheless, Ms. Witt may be more to my preference than my initial comments. The following picture makes her look more proportional: http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/celebs/aliciawitt/alicia_witt_1.jpg

But I personally have a problem with the notion of an aristocracy of facial beauty. Few of us have the faces of movie stars; and although it is pleasant to look at those faces, often the possessor of the face has very few skills or other assets which actually entitle them to the extremely high lauds and fortunes which they nevertheless receive. I'd rather a world where the aristocracy was of merit; therefore, in the world of acting, it would be for people who speak better than Ms. Witt, who portray characters more compellingly than Ms. Witt, and who have something to offer in the field of self-maintenance and display of skills that is greater than Ms. Witt's.

Upon cursory inspection. Perhaps I ought to further investigate the issue close-to-hand. :)

It's been proven that genetics is far more important than any amount of hard work.

However, it is always fun to see you flail about trying to justify a not-very-well-thought-out-gut-
reaction and at the same time trying to backpedal at supersonic speed. Bravo!

Bah, what final said was perfectly reasonable. I don't agree on every point but that's something you anonymous folk don't seem to grasp: agreeing with you is not necessary to be reasonable.

Myself, physical beauty is not something I value incredibly much whether it's natural or earned. Yes, I prefer to look at beautiful people. Yes, I feel a slight tingling down below. But that wears off. I can maintain infatuation for a time if the woman can hold a conversation, but if she's not particularly deep it will pass again. I'll still find her nice to look at but without depth and heart she's never anything more to me.

That's one of the reasons I ignore most hollywood actresses. The other reason is that they bastardize beauty with plastic. I don't find people made of plastic and silicon attractive. It's like they're trying to become living japanese sex dolls. Those things are creepy enough as it is so I'd rather they stay inert, thank you very much.

They covered the genetics of exercise and beauty in an episode of Penn & Teller's Bullshit!. Genetics is definitely plays a much larger role - you can't get the fantastic body of some fitness guru just through hard work. (That doesn't mean you won't get in shape.) As usual final didn't bother to employ a fact checker.

And, it is interesting how no one ever seems to understand his initial comments - he always has to clarify in excruciating detail what he, er, really meant all along.

It's too bad Alicia's not going to be on Law & Order anymore. I've read that the other character, Wheeler, is coming back. Too bad.

Nevertheless, is IS interesting that the politically-correct people of this world tend to be more offended when a man suggests that a woman ought to exercise in order that she become attractive, than when a man suggests a woman's face is attractive by dint of nature and genetics alone.

"Oooh, look at her beautiful face. I want to fuck her!" is evidently more OK than "Oooh, look at her beautiful tight gymnercized ass. I want to fuck her!"
