It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world
I looked up films with Milton Berle, and I found It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world. (Me, I would have gone with just a single or a double "mad".) What a nice surprise, this is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Great stuff.

It's a good thing you're not thinking up the titles, then. A single or double "mad" just wouldn't have the same effect. It's a subtle thing so I'm not surprised you don't get it.
Funny you should say it, because Terry Thomas' character and the go-go dancer were my favorite bits! (Amongst many.) I thought the dancer was hot, and her poker face was hilarious. What I feel she added was eye candy, humor, and character to the character of the son-in-law.
And the Englishman was a hoot. "... we must press on with all possible dispatch"! And "I really don't think that personal rancor is helping things, if I may say so."
Terry Thomas is great in pretty much everything I've seen him in. I just never noticed him in anything American until I saw him here. There's a silly patriotism which kinda makes me want UK actors to stay in the UK, but then, I went with the industry and landed in CA, so why not an actor.
The dancer and SIL just struck me as sad. They weren't dancing together, they were just dancing in a stoner sort of way. I guess it reminded me of some drug use I saw back in college.

I'm not sure what to think of Terry Thomas in a Hollywood film.
Also, what's with the Go-Go Dancer? looked good, bod wise, but so detached, almost stoned. What did she add to the film?
This film got stuck in our test system for about a month (H.264 compressor trials), so I saw all, but in 5minute segments out of order.
Still, rounded family entertainment, and quite silly.

Yeah, I think it was meant to be hinted at, as much as you were allowed in the sixties, that they were stoners.
