New syringe invention

An excellent medical invention, made by an amateur. I think this will be ubiquitous in a few years.

More inventions from the same contest.

Ooh, ooh: there is also this self-heating house, sounds amazing. (How it works.)

"Self-heating" houses are hardly a new idea and the envelope design mentioned in this case is not unique.

There was one interesting aspect that I hadn't seen before - the description of resin rich/impregnated wood as a phase change material.

Here are a few links to "self-heating" housing in the UK:

BedZED
Autonomous House
Hockerton Housing Project
Brighton Earthship
Earthship Fife

I've been in BedZED, one of the Hockerton houses and the Brighton Earthship. I thought all would be nice places to live.

Considering all syringes today are disposeable and single-use anyway, I can see no objection to ready-for-use ones for injectable drugs.
It's smart thinking, period.
