In Feng Shui we are instructed to not place our desk against a wall so as to not be staring at a wall all day. (Rather, there should be a wall behind us to 'give support'.)
Your 'wall' images, when used as a desktop background, would appear to simulate this (undesirable) scenario.
From the Feng Shui perspective, your cloud images and other scenery work much better. An ideal back drop, though, would have some water element in it, and perhaps some foliage.

Funny enough I have already decided to go to the seaside to do that.
Water is great for soft and abstract tones.
