A Titanic mistake

They're re-releasing Titanic, so I just saw the trailer for the first time. It was even more gawd-awful than I had imagined. It's hard to think of a movie I'd have less desire to watch. Maybe Passion Of The Christ with an all-poodle cast. Or Yentl And Zombies. Or a film about the love life of Darth Vader when he was young. Wait, somebody did that. Still a bad idea.

  1. Or Yentl And Zombies.

I wish that Zombie fad would die. Enough already. Is Yentl and Zombies a worse idea than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? Well, maybe a little, but not much.

It could have been good - I'd have based his life on a real-world evil dude like Hitler. Instead we're supposed to believe that someone good can become evil and then good again.

  2. It's not the only one. They are seeing what films from the last 20 years can be re-screened in 3-D. There's a whole slew of them coming out this year.

  3. Just drop in long enough to see yet another nekkid gurl, Eo! ;-)

  4. So that'll be like the sixth edition of Star Wash then.

  5. I think the movie was pretty entertaining due to how well the main character, the ship, was recreated and shot. A lot of nice mahogany panels, bronze plaques and other details.

  6. The ship looked great. The rest of it sucked. I'm looking forward to that Titanic miniseries. I've taped the first one but haven't yet watched it.

  7. I'm very much looking forward to seeing what Cameron is doing from this 3-D filming. Should be very cool!

  8. Phew! "...300 computer artists have spent 750,000 man hours to give "Titanic" a third dimension..." I'm in, for SURE! Just read this. Can't WAIT to see it, again! There's a coupla HOT scenes that I rather enjoyed! LOVE Leo! I don't think that there's a more handsome dude out there, IMHO! And...he just gets sexier w/age! :-P

  9. Got to disagree with you there - in Titanic it's a bit of a stretch to believe he's even gone through puberty.

  10. That "I'm the kind of the world" bit ruins it even if the rest of the movie was great, and it ain't. Now yesterday I watched Under Siege on AMC - now that's a good movie that takes place on a boat. ;-)
