Brings back in memory an anecdote I heard about St-Preux's Concerto pour une voix.
The music had been written for the trumpet, but St-Preux was going nuts trying to find someone capable of rendering what he had in mind. And then, just like that, one day they were both in the studio on unrelated projects, he heard Danielle Licari humming the notes as she was looking at his sheet music. Out with the trumpet, her voice was going to be lead instrument!
Or so the story goes...
