It looks to have a staircase though so it's not really a hobbit hole.
ReplyDeleteIt's also not built into a hillside, although not all Hobbits had homes like that - only the rich ones. I can't help wondering if living there all the time might get to be a bit much. The tree branches with bark would get real old real fast.

?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!It clearly says the house has a turf roof. That's not the same thing as being built into a hillside as was Bag End.
ReplyDeleteIt does actually say it was built into a hillside, but I can understand the confusion - it also says a turf roof which gives a different impression I think.
