Nothing high-lights a good screen and machine like a CGI movie, seems to me.
I am not re-buying very many movies in blu-ray, but I'm making exceptions for all of Pixar's movies. Hokey Mama, they are beautiful. I just started on Cars. It was never my favorite, but pretty good, and even if it wasn't, the sheer beauty of the visuals in HD... OMG.
(I'm also waiting for Over The Hedge to come on blu-ray, that one was wow.)
I loved Cars even though I have no real interest in real cars or racing. Absolutely loved it, almost more than the Toy Story movies and I really loved them too. Up I didn't really like. It started off on a real downer and I just never got into it. I haven't seen Over the Hedge. I don't have any of those on DVD yet anyway, so if I do get Blu-Ray eventually I won't be re-buying them. That's part of the reason I've put off getting them.
ReplyDeleteMan, I'm dying for the day my little girl is old enough for Pixar movies. I've only seen Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and Cars (all of which I liked a lot). I've got a lot of catching up to do.
