Hackers, magicians

Geek Power: Steven Levy Revisits Tech Titans, Hackers, Idealists, article.

Many years ago, I read Levy's book Hackers. Both the book and its subjects have turned out to be much more influential than anybody expected.

    Hackers is an excellent book. To me, it seemed like The Right Stuff, but with computers instead of rockets.

    Yes, he is an outstanding writer. He can have strong interest and enthusiasm, without losing perspective.
