If Charlie got a penny for every showing of his video, he would be a millionaire by now.
Even Bohemian Rhapsody, generally regarded as the greatest pop song ever, only has 28 million views on YouTube. So Charlie beat the Queen by a good 70 million.
I remember 20 or 30 years ago I commented to somebody that it would be a fun thing to make a fan club for somebody totally ordinary. Now in the Net age it happens.
I found it amusing, in a creepy way. I wouldn't put it amongst my favourites but there are moments when it's strangely funny. I think it could have been done better but at least it wasn't cast in the same mould as typical Hollywood teenager crap. There is some twisted charm to it. I thought of it here because the opening scene is a young kid getting his finger bit.

ReplyDeleteThe one with the dental vagina? Haven't seen it. I thought the premise is a bit thin for a full feature movie.
ReplyDeleteBut I see now it's supposedly a comedy too, which is always a plus with me. Is it any good?
