"Revolution" now always reminds me of the Beatles' virtuoso rock rendition of that live on TV, and it makes me sad that we did not get more of Beatles as a rock band.
I agree with you EO. I got my first Beatles album in 1964. I was visiting a mentor type of guy and he had just heard of them. He, unfortunately for him and fortunately for me, thought they were a new folk music group. He hated it and asked if I wanted it. Should I have, said no....??

The White Album, to me, is the be-all-end-all of Beatless. The amount of musical skill and invention on those two disks is astonishing.
