  1. I'm thinking the 1600x2580 needs to be a dual monitor setup. And I'm thinking a D800 for 36 MP, but I don't know what the VGA, XGA and 4k refer to yet.

  2. Are you still pretending to be interested in photography? Face it, you're a poseur. You like buying cameras, but you don't care about photography or photographers.

  3. Ah, Josie! I've been expecting you.

It is clear to the unbiased eye that I do care a lot about photography and photographers.

My own active photographing has sadly taken a big dip. That is because my health has taken a big dip. The doctors think it may be Fibromyalgia. (Intense overall pain, apparently based in the nervous system.)

This should please you a lot to hear, because it really prevents many of the enjoyable things in life, like most of the going out to photograph, etc.

I don't talk about it a lot, because it's hard not to be bitter about it, yet it's nobody's fault, and since people probably can't help anyway, I don't want to burden them with it.

  4. Kelly,
Apple's 30-inch monitor (which it sadly seems they don't make anymore) has a 1600x2560 resolution.

VGA is the very old 480x640 rez, XGA is 768x1024. 4K is the new resolution and buzz word, four times the area of HD. "4K" meaning roughly 4,000 pixels horizontally.

  5. I don't know who Josie is but I don't think you can dismiss everything I said with the any illness. You've never expressed much interest in other photographers' work, or any understanding of it. Your own is high school level - photos, often closeups, of things like railings, windows, etc. At least they're not usually black and white, though.

I'm probably wasting my time, though. You would dismiss what I say because I've chosen anonymity, but it wouldn't matter if I put a name to it, now would it?

  6. I've seen some 4K stuff and 2.7k 3D that was just awesome. It's strange standing a few feet in front of a 50" screen and not seeing the pixels.

  7. Sounds cool.

It's interesting how the cameras and the screens are there before anybody is even talking about a delivery system!
