It was a nice enough movie, the special effects were good, but the whole thing seemed a bit contrived. The only surprises weren't all that important. A director can only do so much with the screenplay, and this one didn't have much to say.
I thought as story it was at least as good as most.
But there were some leaps of... like why had they concluded that these aliens had engineered the humans? Simlilarly, on *very* thin evidence, they concluded that they wanted to kill humanity.
And why was David murderous? And why was the surviving alien murderous?
Why didn't the hot blonde use her luxus escape pod in the end?
Maybe she couldn't get to the main pod in time or it wasn't designed to be occupied by occupied when it was released, maybe not enough padding. The alien space ship is obviously the most overdesigned piece of technology ever, as it didn't breakup upon impact, or explode. Apparently the Blu-ray has an alternative ending, might be better.
I think the alien was trying to kill her because that was the way he was. Another big question is why with so much equipment still working wasn't he woken up automatically.

ReplyDeleteYeah, and have you noticed that nobody runs to the *side*? Everybody futilely runs *away* from a runaway thing comeing at them.
ReplyDelete... but: two pods were released: a small one, which she was in. And her big luxury one. Why didn't she choose the big one?
