I wanna explain why I'm photographing less.
I have a painful condition. It may be "fibromyalgia", according to one doctor. Or it may not. In any case, it's a big pain, sort of unfocused, but often overwhelming. I've had it for many years, but it has come to a head in recent years, and it sucks up 90% of my energy, so I barely have the strength to do my work and a bit of blogging (a lot of that goes to eReaderJoy.com).
It sucks, but the Universe has a plan for everything and everybody, so we'll just have to see where things go. It's all okay.
Sorry to hear that, Eolake. I hope it turns out to be something else, something specific that you can easily be fixed.
ReplyDeleteFor example if you're taking statins, you may experience muscle pain due to them blocking Coq10 production... and in that case stopping the statins or taking Coq10 supplements may help you get rid of that pain.
Callahan's Law (also known as the Law of Conservation of Pain and Joy): "Shared pain is lessened; shared joy, increased—thus do we refute entropy."
ReplyDeleteKnow that there are a lot of us who would gladly exchange some of your pain to give some joy to you.
Hang tough Eolake. We're pulling for you.
ReplyDeleteIf it's sapping a lot of energy, I know the feeling. ME/CFS is diagnosed by process of elimination since there's no specific test for it, but you might want to see if that's the problem. Also has symptoms that are somewhat similar to fybromyalgia, so...
ReplyDeleteThank you guys.
ReplyDeleteOne starts from where one finds oneself.
(Old Chinese saying that I made.)
Stop eating wheat! Whole grain or otherwise!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.livestrong.com/article/465259-wheat-free-diet-for-fibromyalgia/
It's a start in the right direction.
And good luck!
Thanks, I'll look into that.
ReplyDeleteIf I may be of advise try acupuncture for your painfull complain!

From livestrong "Refined and unrefined grains seem to make fibromyalgia symptoms worse in some patients." is the ultimate copout. They have no evidence that it is caused by wheat.
ReplyDeleteDealing with something similar, all I can suggest is avoid triggers, although it can be hard to work out what they are. I suspect a lot of the time it is viral, but I know in my case it is moulds. Make sure that you do things but don't overdo them. This area of medicine has more quacks than almost anything but cancer. Good luck.
Isn't it fantastic that there's this mechanism for the Higher Self to grab our attention when our direction is misaligned with our true will.
ReplyDeleteNow all you have to do is to interpret -- and answer to -- the message from your HS, and the pain is gone.
Rejoice!
"They have no evidence that it is caused by wheat."
ReplyDeleteThere is abundant anecdotal evidence that eliminating wheat from their diet has helped many, many people who were/are suffering from fibromyalgia.
There's is no downside to eliminating wheat, so why someone who is suffering would want to wait for a randomized double-blind clinical study is a mystery to me.
Try goggling "wheat and fibromyalgia." See for yourself.

ReplyDeleteMy experience has been that most doctors watch for their "speciality" when making a diagnosis. My wife is diagnosed with M.S.; but when she was tested for Lyme she lit up the scoreboard! Since being treated for the Lyme, she has very few symptoms of M.S. !! Unfortunately she carried the Lyme for 30+ years; yet the affects of such a long (treatable) illness has resulted in the need for a wheelchair.
We hope they are able to correctly diagnose your problem very soon.
We enjoy your blogs very much!
Woa!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
You may have a good point there. We all see mostly what we focus on.
My best to you and her.
Glad you like the blogs. This one and the ereader one?
