Compelling TV

I dug into my TiVo at five in the morning, and as usual, first I get whatever live TV is currently playing at whatever channel I happen to be tuned to.
Guess what on the air at that time? A documentary program about a team of people going around town cleaning up graffiti... Riveting! Stunning! I dared not even hit Pause for fear it would malfunction and I'd miss anything. The suspense was murder.

  1. Right up there with watching people play poker, getting makeovers, or catching fish.

  2. Yes, there is a fantastic new method for cleaning stone and concrete surfaces. It is called soda blasting. Soda blasting is similar to sand blasting but it is much more delicate to the surface. Not to mention that you can't get a more natural cleaning agent than soda.

By coincidence I was watching graffiti cleaning videos myself last night. They don't show them on the telly here, but I found some on YouTube.

  3. It was not even as exciting as soda-blasting, most of it was just painting over the graffiti with black or white paint.

    Really? What a koinkidink.
    Also, did that interest you?

  4. Yes, really. I was mainly interested in paint stripping. But apparently graffiti cleaning is a common application of these techniques these days.

Painting over the graffiti? That's pretty lame.

  6. Thanks
Hmm, I can't really figure out what that short film is.

But no, it was just some ordinary British TV production. Later it also included some guys inspecting take-out restaurants. Don't know what it was really, didn't stick around to find out.
