Yeah. I don't want to require special equipment, but "Close Up" would definitely be an option. Most decent compact cameras can make very good close-ups.

EO, you know I have a thing for beautiful eyes. The one on your blog (National Geographic) is beautiful.How about that for a subject. And include young as well as old individuals. It was interesting, when I had posted that collage of eyes on my blog some time ago, it's activity zoomed up.
I would rather the contest theme be something that can be interpreted many different ways. Like "beauty" or "serenity".
