It's been virtually unknown. I've never had a virus in 17 years, or known anybody who had one. But we all knew it was just a matter of time as they grew in popularity.
This is interesting as Macs seem to get more malware in the form of Trojan horses, while Windows gets mostly viruses.
This Flashback malware just won't go away.. I've had TWO popups on my Mac over the last few months from Java or something like it. I don't install it, but like you, I also have antivirus on my Mac as a safety measure. Hat tip to Intego for the protection.
Thanks, Eo, giving one of the free ones a try. It's been kinda assumed that Macs were mostly immune to this stuff.
