In a book interview, Jobs called his experience with [LSD] "one of the two or three most important things I have done in my life." As Jobs himself has suggested, LSD may have contributed to the "think different" approach that still puts Apple's designs a head above the competition.
I think drugs are dangerous, but so are cars. And from what I hear, nothing about LSD supports the intensity of the paranoia about it and the war against it from the authorities.

Yeah, I doubt very many would deny that he did "pretty good for himself", and maybe even for many others too (there'll always be doubters about anything you can't put a direct number on, that's the only reason I put "maybe" on that one).
haha, reminds me of some film, a guy is talking about how great philosophers usually die broke, and lists some of them, and includes L R Hubbard, and then pauses and says: "actually, Hubbard did pretty good for himself"... Funny.
