The Laughing Gnome
1967, two years before Bowie's first real hit, this came out. It's not well known, and I think Bowie is not unhappy about that, but I think it's a fun little thing.
Hi Eolake: I think you missed the point here :-) ... the song was re-released (and proved very popular!) in the early 70's (1973, I think, around the same time as he had several high profile albums such as Aladdin Sane, and Star Man, Jean Genie and Life on Mars etc? Yep, was a big fan back then, saw hime perform several times:-)

Yeah, but I read it was re-released by his orginal label, and he wasn't so happy about it.
ReplyDeleteI was too young, I only woke up to him about Scary Monsters, but then I have been a big fan since.
ReplyDelete... He hasn't done much in recent years though, it seems.
