eBay easily gives one the impression that one can find and buy pretty much anything ever made on the planet, given the means. But some things are just nigh-lost cases. For example, I have had auto-searches set up for several years now for a silver Pentax LX and a Minolta XK Motor camera. Not a hint of one, not even a bad sample. All I get are cases and user guides for them.
Do you mean the Y2K-silver or the Titanium-version of the LX?
ReplyDeleteDimitrov cites availability for the TI as "once in a lifetime", and Year 2000-version as "once in several years"... No wonder they're a bit hard to come by...
Oh, there IS one Minolta for you... Just don't be so picky:

Is it not the same camera, just the Euro-version of it?
I think I meant the titanium version. I'm not sure I have seen the millennium version, is it actual silver-plated? Must be very shiny indeed if it is.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Minolta tip, I'll certainly take that into consideration.
Just wondering... why would you want these dinosaurs? Surely not for picture making?
ReplyDeleteNo, for decoration and nostalgia.
ReplyDeleteThose dinosaurs would still take excellent pictures. And anyway there are people out there whose hobby is taking pictures with old cameras like even those box cameras or older.
