As a nanny, some likened her to Mary Poppins, delightful etc.
(But... as a sidebar, to me Mary Poppins in the movie never seemed like a delightful person. She seemed cold and domineering. Is it just me?)

ReplyDeleteSaw the exhibit today...in a word stunning. Vivian clearly had a sense of humor. Some very clever self portraits and wonderful decisive moments captured by her. A true artist in every sense of the word.

ReplyDeleteBut it's weird, I think Julie A is the sweetest and prettiest thing, but something about this character rubs me the wrong way. Guess it reminds me of my own dark side.

ReplyDeleteI liked the Mary Poppins books, but hated what little I've seen of the movie. I just don't like musicals for some reason. They really irritate me.
ReplyDeleteNot my big thing either. But what I like less is Tim Burton's idea: musicals with puppets! I mean, that's just ridic.
