Yes, I think Lust for Life, the LP, is one of his best. He co-composed much of it with David Bowie, explains some of that.
I found Iggy in maybe 1987 when his Blah-blah-blah LP made him more mainstream than he'd been before, it was much more melodious. That one also had Bowie with him.
Classic of course. This video was actually the first time I heard of Iggy. I remember thinking, "Damn, that old dude's crazy, but he's kinda cool."
