  3. LOL! True! I was also wondering if his "beloved" chair had "won," as well! :-/

(was that a bit of "entitlement" rage that rose up, there, I wonder?)

  4. Good to see that you both find this entertaining.
Agreed, he was probably NOT the sharpest tool in the box.
Notice my use of the PAST tense.
He died as a result of this incident - it's there online if you bother to luck instaed of enjoying a mutual chuckle.
It would be nice to think others would have found humour in your demise had you, (ES) enjoyed your slip a little more, and you, (TC) choked on the bloody bible!
    Arseholes, both of you!

  5. Drokk me. Apparently, the Darwin Awards authority have confirmed that this is a genuine Darwin.

"(25 August 2010, Daejon, South Korea) VIDEO NEWS: A handicapped man, annoyed that an elevator closed and departed without him, thinks it over before ramming his wheelchair into the doors not once, not twice, but three times in all--only to plunge down the now-empty elevator shaft to his death. Simultaneous success and failure combine to earn the 40-year-old lasting immortality as a Darwin Award winner."
    -- the Darwin Awards website.

This might explain the slew of "And did he died?" wisecracks making their rounds to the comments pages of Failblog.org from the end of August on.

    Captcha reads: "borkerly"

  6. An old chinese proverb comes to mind:

    You can't fix stupid.

I mean the elevator had obviously already gone down....

  7. Could be wrong, but I seem to recall this story from a few months back, and yes, he did die as a result of this.
Again, from memory, he also took the top spot in this years 'Darwin' awards .....

  8. Well, you have a good point, Pikey.

Much humor is like that, you either laugh or you cry, depending on distance.

  9. You're right: I don't go online to research everything that Eo posts. I didn't know that that was the protocol for visiting a blog!

You would think that someone would have pulled a vid where someone actually happened to die from the instance but...you're right...this life is FULL of "BLOOD-THIRSTY" people who happen to LOVE blood, gore, and guts over a 180 of that!

A fricken FREAK show is what we've ALL bought into...or YOU wouldn't have looked, neither!

I agree, in hindsight, my comments weren't cool. But...one judging another ain't any better and I already know that I'm not perfect. I've even allowed you to see that. What else would your blood-thirsty self care to see happen to me for being human? Pick your poison; see if the old thing re: karma doesn't come back around.

Thanks for your "scorn," Pikey. I can only HOPE to live up to standards like you exemplify! :-/

  10. Wow. Pikey seems a bit wound up.

It is a funny video. I hadn't seen it before.

A bit sad to hear that the fellow didn't survive his tantrum, but rather than berate someone for sharing this video, I'd say that it should be shown to as many people as possible. It is quite instructional, and the memory of it may help someone in a moment of boiling-over anger say to themselves, "Hey, I need to calm down. Lack of self-control really can be fatal."

He died at his own hand. If someone is that determined to drive into a elevator shaft. He obviously was not going to let steel doors keep him out.

Think he would qualify as a "IDIOT"
