I'm very impressed with your ability to multitask -- using an iPhone while getting your teeth worked on...
Was there really that much color in the dentist's lighting? Or did the iPhone catch something our brains block out? I only see white from fluorescents.

Fluorescent lights oscillate in brightness (and hue) with a frequency of 50HZ, the frequency of AC/DC current in the UK. Eo's pic was taken at 1/100s, which means the camera sampled only half a cycle.
And I too am amazed you are happy to be taking pictures while sitting there with your mouth wide open :-)
The iphone has a 5 mp camera...Those shots are very sharp...It's amazing what that little lens can do...I have been shooting with my phone for almost a year now and I am still learning new things about it...It'a a Sony Ericsson Cyber shot...It has an 8 mp camera in it...As much as I like it, I may get an iphone like yours...

ROFLMAO! I bet that's a first for the Dentist! lol!
You SMART Dude: you waited until AFTER he had been in your mouth! I'm trying NOT to laugh of how FUNNY it must have been to see you kneeling in there! lol!
Hoping that visit was just a cleaning for you, yeah? :-D

Nice set of photos.

ReplyDeleteWhy are the handles on the work light 'gift-wrapped'? Couldn't they be sanitized with Isoprop 99% ?

I boosted the saturation of that one in Photoshop, but not much.
ReplyDeleteIt was done afterwards, so I could kneel on the floor and see the screen, the dentist kindly playing his part.

Yea, routine. Apparently my teeth are healthier than ever.
ReplyDeleteYes, so far as I'm aware, the iPhone 4 camera is the first one to go from "good phone camera" to "good pocket camera". It's pretty amazing.

Nice. And good for you! :-D
The dentist light looks like an alien from Mars!
ReplyDeleteThe other photos are just your "typical" artist's eye seeing the world as few are blessed to see it. Thanks for sharing. The stripes are so vivid!

Not enough. Check out "alcohols" here. "Gift wrap" (Saran wrap) is changed between each patient.
The Moss Terrace image (in colour) would make a good album cover.
ReplyDeleteThankkew!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how things which are created as purely utilitarian will have very interesting shapes, lines, textures, colors.
