I was out to a very nice lunch with Jade and her mom, and took these snaps.
Sadly the smiley one is shaken, I guess they can't yet build anti-shake into the minuscule cameras in phones (iPhone 4). I hadn't thought of that, I've gotten used to be able to take indoors snapshots even with a compact camera.
The newest Blackberry (9800 or Torch), announced today, and on sale in the US 12 Aug, claims to have image stabilization for its camera.

Image stabilisation / anti shake HAS been around for at least a couple of years, and very workable / effective.
ReplyDeleteGot my LG Viewty at least 18 months ago .... 5MP / Schneider lens / autofocus (or manual)/ LED flash / HiDef video etc, AND the 'elusive' image stabilisation / anti shake / whatever :-)
EO, who is Jade? Also the second picture is great, such a little scowlly (spelling?) face :-)
ReplyDeleteAw so good to see Jade again in your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Yes, isn't it a cute scowl?
ReplyDeleteTommy, you can see Jade growing up if you start at the bottom of the page here. She is the daughter of a friend.
Caption for the first photo.
ReplyDelete"Yes you may take one picture".
The second one.
"I know how to deal with Pavarotti interrupting my meal. Yes I do have a knife in my hands."
It is the children that keep us young. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, now I've got it by golly. Actually, I do remember her now...and my favorite picture of her is the one that you posted on Tuesday, August 08, 2006. I actually saved a copy of it, I liked it so much. Hope that's ok....
ReplyDeleteDoes she have a sunburn or just high blood pressure? ;-)
ReplyDeleteTommy, sure it's OK.
ReplyDeleteDave, I guess she got temporary high pressure by holding that fearful expression while I took several pictures. :-)
