My friend Carter made this gallery (has nudity) just by dragging a folder of Domai pictures into his DropBox folder.
I think it works great, and is very easy (way easier than making galleries for Domai!). It is free too! If you sign up here, I get a bit of extra storage space for my own use, such as sharing free Domai pages. :-)
Update:
I just realized that when they make photo galleries like this, they down-size the photos to around 766 pixels tall. (Landscape-format pictures end up the biggest this way.) So uploading bigger images is wasted.

Oooops! Mark says:
If you click the Full button below a picture, it will zoom to full size.
Clicking the Save button below the picture will save the full-sized file.

I run websites on DropBox. Details from Lifehacker:

Spooky coincidence: the Blogger word verification is "laked", ee aye ee aye oh!
I love DropBox - I use it to keep stuff between my work laptop and home PC synced, like password stuff.
ReplyDeleteThough getting to see galeries of pretty women is also a great use! :)
Can it be used to store some animated GIFs online for my blog?
ReplyDeleteThat might well be. Try it.

Thanks, Laked. I would have thought you could host a web site on Dropbox.
Will do.
ReplyDeleteIf it can benefit both of us for free, why hesitate? :-)

I DEFINITELY like that idea of being able to save something as important as a manuscript somewhere such as this. No need to worry about losing a thumb drive, then, or...taking the chance of being run over on your way to bringing an extra copy to a friend's place! (I must have a crime drama in mind! lol! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeing able to make a photo gallery to share is a plus, too! Thanks to "laked" for bringing it to our attention! Cool! :-)
Eolake: Thanks for mentioning DropBox. What a great way for moving client design files, etc. between my Macbook Pro and Mac Pro. I can see that I will be making use of this in a variety of ways (I really appreciate you bringing these types of things to other peoples' attention!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, James. Sharing is a good feeling for both parties.
