Valentines

[Thanks Carter]
I'm not sure I get exactly what the joke is here. Is that she is too-obviously a hooker, or is it more subtle? (If the former, I'd say that's prejudiced. I have friends who dress like that who are not hookers.)
Anyway, it reminds me of an old idea I've had on and off: to make cartoons, perhaps one-panel, for the web. This drawing is quite artful, which makes me interested. If I could combine art with funny, and perhaps sexy, then we might have something which could work.

Chicks who dress like hookers can't really blame people for thinking they are hookers.

People who talk like this can't really blame people for thinking they are prejudiced...

In France [of all progressive countries!], Miss Noƫlle Noblecourt was fired from national TV's (the ORTF) one and only channel in 1964 because she had let her knees show on the air. Translated from these days' vocabulary, the motive for her layoff was, more or less, that she dressed like a hooker.

    My verif says : "harch"
(Really? I thought that was pretty mildly expressed!)

  4. Gotta go with anonymous on this one. A chick shows up for work in an office dressed like a hooker, and gets canned... Well, the same would happen to a guy if he showed up dressed like a Chippendale dancer.

  5. Depends on the office, Dave.
    Depends on the office...

Also, in Yemen, showing your mere face amounts to "dressing like a hooker".
Fortunately(?), women are not allowed to have a job in Yemen...
    [Except the aforementioned one!]

For a good full century now (that I know of!), the debate has raged between conservative parents and daring teenage daughters over what exactly amounts to "dressing like a hooker".

Both parents and children can have a point at times... but in muslim neighborhoods of France, many a "big brother" forces his sisters (even older sisters!) to veil their heads by claiming that otherwise they're "going out dressed like a hooker".

Confront this with overly "modern" Western teens whose rolemodels are media-fabricated dubious lolitas, and you've got all the ingredients to cook up a wedding banquet-sized bickering feast... I mean, FEST!

Like art and porn, "slutty" is in the eye of the gazer.
In a naturist christian church, full nudity is completely innocent. But YOU try and explain this to some "other" christians...

I could go on for several 4,096 character-limited posts... or I could content with the above. :-)

You're right. I think dressing like a hooker is probably just fine if you work at the Mustang Ranch. ;-)

I suppose what we really mean is dressing like a low class ho. What we think of when we say hooker is the lowest form of life in that profession. Of course, saying a woman is dressed like a really high class call girl is probably not going to fly as a compliment.
