This has been around for a while, saw it some time ago :-) I agree, it's quite an exreme transformation, but surely you're not THAT surprised about the effects of makeup, particularly within your own field(s)? :-)
The ones that REALLY grab my attention are the speeded-up versions of someone doing a 'makeover' using Photoshop! I've never been on a dating site since!;-)
Exactly! I bet *most* men don't know what they're dating...until the next morning! :-( YIKES!! I vote for natural beauty...inside and out! Then there are NO SURPRISES!! :-D
I have all my life dated only women, who were not using any make-up on a regular basis, except sometimes for some social event (which doesn't mean not to take care of the skin regularly using some nourishing cream).
So, I was never surprised the next morning ... in my experience, real beauty is always shining from inside, when a woman (or man) is totally relaxed, authentic and being simply herself/himself.
One of the biggest gifts in my opinion is to give loving space, so that oneself can just be.
"Power" of Make-Up? No, I disagree, for me it's repelling. I like a real woman, not a fake one.
I thought the same thing as Alex. There is some photographic trickery at work here too. The wide-angle close-up perspective of the initial photos is highly unflattering while the latter photos a re shot from a more flattering telephoto perspective. That said, the effects of the make-up are still undeniable.

I'm blissfully naƮve.

ReplyDeleteAnd the first photos are up close with a wide angle lens, the last ones are not so distorted.
