"Girl in Green Blouse"

(It's not what you might think.)

  1. Oh? So it's not a heavily-photoshopped photo you did of one of your friends, which now looks like a painting vaguely inspired by Picasso?

Because that's what I might think. At first glance. :-)

  2. Nope, it's a straight photo of a painted girl.

  3. So what's next? A painting of a CGI image depicting a rug that mimics a half-finished sketch for a course in pointillism?

Or perhaps a photorealistic oil painting of a TV test card?

Or how about an image of a simple renaissance style village scene? And the technique, you ask? Oil on iPad! Yes, using the upcoming iPad as an expensive canvas. But that's not all: The painting is a triptych! The work will consume three iPads!!!

  4. It's a "painted girl" in the sense that it is paint on a girl.

  5. I like the iPad idea. Especially if it's done before the iPad is released to the public, making it a deadly crime to paint on them.

  6. Wow. Now I hadn't seen THAT coming!

In spite of your real-life comic book lady disguise a while back.

  7. Oh? So it's not a Modigliani then?

  8. I quite like the idea, the sooner people get over mediums and just look at the pictures the better, theres too many preconceived ideas slowing down the movement of art, the last 50 years were a reaction to that

  9. My grain of salt over that: sometimes the medium itself is a very impressive thing!
Just imagine if you saw that "painted woman" for real.

I also very much like the basic principle of a woman's body being the canvas. :-)
In fact, even a man's body can be a very nice canvas. Right, ladies? :-)

Well, Pascal...that might be fun...as long as the dude is willing to have a complete body shave, first; and...it would be nice if he was a straight dude, too! lol! Just sayin' :-D

I take it you're not a big fan of adorned carpets then? ;-)

"Can I at least keep my eyebrows? And possibly the hair on my head, too? Pretty please, Ma'am photographer?"

A straight dude, yes. Fully with you there. (Um... that's not what it sounds like!!! ;-)
I so hate it when a man presented as handsome eye candy feels blatantly gay. Feels like flaunting a shameful waste of good manhood.
And feels like none of those photographers must be straight, if they can only seem to find such guys as models!
I mean, I've heard that 90% of people in both genders were hetero, so surely it's possible to find SOME straight hunks?

Playgirl feels like such a scam, because it's allegedly a magazine for women, and yet it seems filled with gay dudes.

Who are not even painted. :-P

Now, where did I put my green spandex blouse and matching yellow skintight pants? (sigh) the house is such a mess when *I* am not the one to clean around.
