Banana Protection, the dark side

Dave points to another "banana protector", the chastity belt for men. Gawd, that's nasty.

  1. "Eeewww", indeed! Surely this can't be hygienic.

Then again... neither were the feminine models!

Reminds me of something similar I saw on Wikipedia, to "prevent male masturbation". A "disease" that, in Victorian times, was sometimes treated with "remedies" as radical as castration.

Crimes against human freedom never cease...

I most like the fact that with this transparent design, the dire cleanliness complications are immediately visible as a most sickening mess. Great for promoting abstinence even within the couple! To reflect on the testimony (testimonial? testicular?) on this site's page.

I'd be glad to testify as a Doctor that such devices are very dangerous to the wearer's anatomy. Just google testicular torsion, and imagine all the added possible traumas from wearing a rigid contraption around THAT part of the body. Or any part, for that matter, except for safety helmets!
Just MARKETING this is grounds for nasty lawsuits.

It's rather similar to wearing a dangling chain between two body piercings: a gruesome accident just waiting to happen at the first unpredicted encounter.

It would have to be I guess. Man people are weird! You might wonder why I searching for chastity belts. Working my way through season 1 of NCIS they were mentioned. Did a search, and came across these as well as a few other sites where they sell them for women. I did not expect to find any from modern times.

  4. It is enough to make a vow of chastity. Gadgets are counterproductive.

  6. Sorry Tracey, I'm not sure who you are chastising here, me or Dr. Pascal?
