20mm lens part II, Revenge of the Sith

Sorry to mention the 20mm lens again, but I just like it, I like that something so good can also be so small and cute. It really is just a gorgeous little thing.

  1. What you could do here is:

    1. buy a package of Domino cookies;
    2. take one cookie out;
    3. put the lens in the box in place of the cookie; and
    4. close the box.

    Now, when your photographer friend comes over for tea, you casually place the unopened-looking package of cookies on the table. Wait until your friend helps himself to the cookies. Act surprised.

  2. Thanks Eolake. Please don't feel you are burdening us with your mention of this recent acquisition of yours. I'm certain I'm not alone in wanting to hear more of your impressions on its use and hopefully we'll see more of your work with it. I've ordered the lens by itself to pair with the G1 I've had for months, but it may be some time before Panasonic is able to fill orders apart from the kit.

    Thanks. I've sometimes worried some will take it as bragging or react with envy.

    It helps to think of Mike Reichman of Luminous-landscape.com. He is well off, and makes no bones about buying more new cameras than underpants, including many costing tens of thousands of dollars. And why should he?

  5. Do you? Thanks. It wasn't meant as a particularly interesting picture, I just took a couple objects to show the size. But on the other hand, I don't think it was accidental that I only used black/white objects. When you think in pictures, you get used to thinking in pictures.
