Sex, Lies & Children

Sex, Lies & Children, article. (PDF file.)
"... just about anybody involved in the commercial production or distribution of adult material can be prosecuted for obscenity. That is one of the (many) reasons the obscenity laws are unfair, unconstitutional and inhumane in modern society."

The article is American, but most countries have similar inanities and insanities.

  1. These things are getting out of hand. This was in our local newspaper this morning, and I quote:

    "Vt. teen gets prison
    In 'sextlng' case
    BURLINGTON, Vt. - An
I8-year-old pleaded guilty to reduced charges Thursday in Vermont's first "sexting" case, in which he allegedly directed two teenage girls to videotape or photograph themselves performing sex acts and send him the results.
Isaac Owusu, of Morrisville, was sentenced to up to two years in prison but will serve 90 days after pleading guilty to two counts of com-mitting a prohibited act and one count of lewd and lascivious conduct.
Sexual assault charges originally lodged against him were dropped as part of the plea, as were two counts of promoting a sexual recording."

Can you imagine this. This kid is only 18 and now his life is changed for ever! Did anyone else do stupid things at that age? We certainly didn't go to jail for it.

  2. "I8-year-old pleaded guilty "

Think that someone gave this kid bad advise to plead guilty. A jury with any common sense would never have found him guilty.

This is what happens when you can't afford a good lawyer.

Unfortunately this is VERY true. Money does talk.
