Head cold

Blogging less since yesterday, I have a head cold. Never had it like this before, besides using a million tissues, every two minutes my eyes start burning and watering like crazy. It's damn irritating. I guess it's infection of whaz-names, the spaces around the eyes.

  1. 3days, 3days, 3days.
Sending you a few bottles with hot water. And a cup of frisian tea with a shot of rum. That should work.

    ;-)

    ....better?

  2. Yes, those ones.

I've had water and lots of vitamins, particularly C.

And I realized it was better then I'm horizontal in a darkened room, so I stayed in bed all night (rare for me these days).

    Seems better this morning.

  3. With viral sicknesses, like the flu or the common cold, the main treatment is unfortunately patience. They just have to run their course.
Of course, support measures like vitamin C, plenty of fluids... do help. If not make it shorter, make it more merciful.

Interestingly, one thing seems to have been statistically proven to bring a significant benefit (albeit a small one): grandma's good old chicken soup!
They serve it in hospitals for that very reason.
They also serve jello to anybody who needs to heal surgery incisions. Jello is basically made from collagen, so it brings basic conjunctive tissue components aplenty.
