Apple has released new MacBooks (there's a new MacBook Pro also) and a new external display made for use with a laptop. (So far I'm not sure what the raison d'etre is.)
Possibly tomorrow there'll be a video of the press conference.
... Beware, if you watch the intro/promotional video in HD, it's full of close-up interviews with middle-aged men, don't sit too close to your monitor. (This trend in recent years of filming interviews in super close-up is not a good idea. Almost nobody looks that good.)

ReplyDeleteHuh? Never seen middle aged men on the big screen? I thought they all looked great, especially Jonathan Ive. And the video in general, with the creators speaking instead of some botoxed models, and the shots of the CNC process and dirty floors in the aluminum plant was brilliant! Untypical of an American TV ad, I would say. Powerful.
If the consumers in the U.S. still haven't maxed out their credit cards, I predict this is going to be a very successful product.
I'm sure it will be.
ReplyDeleteIt was not clear to me though, what it has going for it except for a new case.
OK, these faces were not bad, I've seen worse. For instance Danish docu about the Danish band Gasolin. Super close-ups on a theatre screen of men in their sixties, all with bad teeth.
I think a stiffer case is certainly a significant improvement. But also:
