"The Pilgrims were searching for the freedom to practice the most stultifyingly oppressive brand of Christianity ever known to man."
And here we are, centuries later, still living in accordance with these oppressive ideals. I imagine such an ad would rouse the fury of soccer-moms across the country which would lead to harsher censorship for the rest of us. (Or massive earthquakes as they simultaneously march their 300 pounds of fury to their 5 ton SUVs so they can meet and preach to each other about how angry they are.)
A similar point as made by the South Park movie: "Just remember what the MPAA says: horrific deplorable violence is O.K. as long as people don't say any naughty words."
Depends on where - in NYC or LA, it would be fine, but down south in the bible belt, no way!
ReplyDeleteI really wish we had a more relaxed attitude toward nudity... unfortunately the US was founded by Puritans, and we're still paying the price!

Ha, I wish.
ReplyDeleteQuite a handsome ghost, appearing in that image.
ReplyDeleteEolake, have you managed to identify that artistic departed soul?
I suspect it somehow is myself.
