Quotes from The Simpsons

Homer: "Mr. Burns, you're the richest man I know."
Mr. Burns: "Ah yes. But I'd trade it all for a little more."

---
(After his house got demolished in a hurricane)
Ned Flanders: "It's all gone. Gone-diddly-on."

  2. Another from Mr. Burns: "You know, it's funny, Smithers -- I tried every tincture and poultice and tonic and patent medicine there is, and all I really needed was the blood of a young boy."

I think my favorite Simpsons quote is from Homer: "To alcohol! The cause of -- and solution to -- all of life's problems."

  3. I really wonder how they will ever adapt that one in the arabic version. The Simpsons were recently adapted in Arabic, but all reference incompatible with islamic values were removed or adapted in the translation. This includes pork meat, and of course booze.
Ah well, not MY impossible problem!

  4. Hmmm... without Spider-Pig, the Simpsons movie is gonna be pretty difficult to follow.

  5. Pascal, with all the things they have to remove, what's left? It wouldn't resemble The Simpsons. I have heard that most of these Arabic people are already familiar with the English version, through downloads.

  6. Don't ask me, Joe, I haven't the faintest idea!
Perhaps that "islamically correct" version is hoping to entertain kids?...
I'd love to see how they will manage to "adapt" the film's poster!!!

    I think Homer became "Omar".

"Don't have a camel, effendi! Eat my djellaba! Ay, Allah akbar!"
