I was getting a bit fed up with Mrs Kenneth Brannagh. Seemed that every film she was in she had to have a nude scene (Tall Guy, Much Ado About Nothing, and a few others of that vintage).
She was quite acceptable in Fry and Lauries show, and overall I've recovered from her over-exposure in the late 80's. I'll have to dig out my Comic Strip DVD's aparently she was in there too.
I don't think there was anything wrong with her nudity, it's just everything I saw her in, about 5 films, had her stripping off. She and Brannagh were in the press all the time. It seemed like they were single handedly saving British Cinema, or the Empire. It was too much.

If you were getting fed up with her for too many nude scenes, then I don't even understand your language. :)
ReplyDelete(I've seen both your examples twice, and I don't recall much nudity, so it can't have been much.)

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed that production of Much Ado.

ReplyDeleteAh, see, there's our difference once again: since I was not in the UK back then, I did not see all that.
I think she was awesome on Much Ado. Just the very first scene where she is reading...
And I don't even like Shakkerspeere all that much.

Empire? What Empire?
I must admit I don't care all that much for Kenneth Brannagh.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing: when I fancy a girl, it always seems I don't care much for her husband. Isn't that a funny coincidence?
Stranger? Owh, what do strangers know about fiction?
