New article

Aaaaaall right, here is the promised article about Mind-Over-Matter, I hope you enjoy. (This may be one of the most important things I could every write about.)

  1. It's an attractive theory in some ways, and I can see why some people wish it were true, but the FACT is that magical thinking won't change reality. Can you just imagine what chaos would result if we were all reshaping reality to fit our individual desires? That might work if we were the only ones that existed because we were all in our own little bubbles (like Beverly Crusher in that one episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation.)

On a personal note, if there were any truth to this theory, it would mean that I'm a even bigger failure than I thought. Without going into details, I'll just say that almost two years ago I completely ruined my life and now find myself in a situation I cannot see my way out of. If I could change my life, why am I still here?

  2. By the way, I should add that even IF some phemoneoa are true on the quantum level (and this is not accepted by all) it does not follow that they are true on the macro (real-world) level. Einstein, one of the greatest minds of our time, rejected the findings of quantum physics with his famous statement about God not playing dice with the universe.

Incidentally, "God", for Einstein, was just a conveinant symbol-word for the laws of physics. He also once said, "I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the kind that we experience in ourselves"

Because you don't believe you can change it!

Read "Shortcut to a Miracle". What have you got to lose?

  4. In the late eighties, I was in a hole. I had huge debts, I got sick and depressed all the time, and I couldn't seem to hold a job long.

By now, all of that is completely reversed, and I have a life which would be the envy of 99% of the planet's population.

Sure, it took 15 years, but each year I made big progress. And if I had a copy of "Shortcut to a Miracle" back then, I could have done it much faster, I'm sure.

It takes time to change things. But that time will pass anyway!

  5. No, magical thinking will change nothing. However, positive thinking, which I feel is being discussed, can change everything. Just like laughter can help people heal faster, thinking positive can help you find the open doors and move past the ones that closed in your face.

  6. Well, thank you Eolake, positive thinking, and I am still not smoking.

Yes, I know only too well that it`s early days yet, but this time it is different.

This time I have a different attitude, and it feels easier.

Other people around me smoking does not bother me either...!

    Positive thought works.
