It took a genius like Isaac Newton to invent a <i>different</i> kind of telescope that was both smaller and more powerful.<br /><br />This guy's invention seems like the former rather than the latter. It's an example of deluding yourself into believing you're thinking outside the box while staying well within the box.<br /><br />I'm not saying I could do better. I couldn't do even as well. But it will take maybe a genius as well as other technologies coming together. A fictional example from The Fly: "I farm bits and pieces out to the guys who are much more brilliant than I am. I say, "build me a laser", this. "Design me a molecular analyzer", that. They do, and I just stick 'em together." Maybe the equivalents of that laser and molecular analyzer haven't been invented yet.<br /><br />Anyway this seems like a step back. He's got backing though, so I guess the razzle dazzle has swayed people but they're only buying the sizzle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
